Out Patient (Pay)

The Institute, boasts that it has the best and brightest Physicians and Surgeons in the country. Most of our Medical Professionals are at the top of their field and they regularly hold clinic at our Doctor’s Clinics Building. The specialties are not limited to the kidney however, but are as wide and diverse as any other major medical center. Indeed, the quality of our medical professionals is one of the reasons our Institute strives for excellence.

The Institute also offers services that accommodate patients not for confinement. These Services include our Laboratory, Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Cardiovascular, Physical Rehabilitation Medicine, Pulmonary, Neurophysiology and Pharmacy. At NKTI, we call them our Cost Centers.
 
If you are interested to avail our Services as out-patient, you have to get your Hospital Number / Pink Card in our Admitting Section. You will be registered by an Admitting Clerk after which you can now proceed to the Cost Center where you can request your procedures or medicines.

At the Cost Center, you will be charged correspondingly to the procedures you want to avail of or the medicines you want to purchase. Before charging, you have to inform the Cost Center charging clerk if you are sponsored by a Company or an HMO or if you are to pay in cash or credit card. a) If you are under an HMO or sponsored by a Company, make sure you have a copy of the Letter of Authorization (LOA). After charging, you must proceed to the Credit and Collection office and present the charge slip along with the LOA. Their staff shall acknowledge the charge slip and LOA. If you are to pay in cash or credit card, you can go to the Cashier office for payment.

After your transaction with either Cashier or the Credit and Collection office, you can then proceed to the Cost Center and either have the required specimen extracted (Laboratory), or have the procedure performed, or get the medicines.

You must also be aware that certain procedures require preparation (e.g. fasting) in your part. This goes for certain Laboratory, Pulmonary, Nuclear Medicine, Endoscopy, and Radiology procedures. You can contact the Cost Center to find out the preparation required.
 
Out Patient (Service)
 
The NKTI Outpatient Services provides good quality and cost-effective treatment to charity patients for non-emergency cases, both general and subspecialty medical and surgical. The service is open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
   
Nursing Services
 
Its staff of nurses and allied health personnel are tasked that goes beyond direct patient care that also provide health information, lectures and training as part of health promotion, illness prevention and assist patients and their companions by providing an atmosphere that will enhance acceptance of their illness thru multidisciplinary approach.

Medical Services
 
The group of doctors at the Out patient Services are composed of varied specialties that ensures that all patients of various illnesses are properly diagnosed and treated. Specialty Services are scheduled as follows - MORNING (10am to 12 noon) : Hematology, Oncology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Cardiopulmonary, Pulmonary, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, dermatology, Rheumatology; AFTERNOON (1pm – 5pm) : Nephrology which includes Clinics for Glumerulonephritis, Kidney Transplant and Pre-Kidney Transplant, Pediatric Nephrology, Urology, and Transplantation / Vascular Surgery
