NKTI HEALTH SCREENING (Executive Check-up)

Health screenings are preventive strategies that health workers use to check for diseases before symptoms appear. Screenings can detect, prevent, or may even reverse chronic disorders. It helps find diseases early when it may be easier to treat or even prevent its progression to chronicity. Getting such screening tests is a very valuable decision you can do for your health. Health screening helps in identifying people with increased risk for a condition or disease before signs and symptoms manifest or even realize that they may be at risk in order that preventive measures can be instituted.

It is an important part of preventive health care. Prevention of disease is the key to good health. Diseases such as hypertension, ischemic heart disease, diabetes, renal diseases and liver disorders have been associated with modern living and lifestyles, which maybe symptom free at its early stages. Cancer beyond a certain point in time may become fatal. However, with early detection and proper medical guidance, these diseases or health risk can be treated or controlled to a level of good quality of life. A major key to good health therefore lies in preventive medicine.

The National Kidney and Transplant Institute offers such an answer in its comprehensive multiphasic screening service. You can choose an Executive Health Check-Up that will suit your needs. Our executive health check-up are conducted on an out-patient basis. Various tests will be conducted to help determine your health and fitness level, as well as identify any potential health risks. When your tests results are ready, a medical report on the assessment of your overall health status will be prepared for you.

Your specialist will be on hand to advice you on how to bring about positive change in lifestyles, or recommend early treatment in previously unsuspected disease. You will also have the advantage of direct referrals to other specialty services within NKTI should you require further medical consultations.
