NKTI Convenes Multi-Sector Governance Council
True to its commitment to improve the Institute’s systems and processes with the adaptation of the Philippine Governance System (PGS), the Strategy Management Division, the planning arm of the Institute, formally convened the members of the NKTI Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) last February 19, 2021.
The MSGC is an external advisory group that will assist NKTI towards transformational change. It is composed of sectoral leaders and representatives tasked to provide NKTI expert advice on concerns related to Procurement, Health Policy/ Economics, Corporate Social Responsibility, Digital Transformation, Governance, and Fiscal Management.
During the meeting, NKTI Executive Director Dr. Rose Marie R. Liquete, provided the MSGC a background on NKTI’s quality journey including updates on the Institute’s strategy roadmap which is aligned towards the Department of Health’s (DOH) Fourmula One Plus Health Policy.
Dr. Ma. Teresa P. Que, Officer-in-Charge of the Strategy Management Division, expressed her gratitude to the Council and emphasized the significant role of MSGC in helping shape NKTI’s future direction.
The members of the MSGC are former Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Undersecretary Luz M. Cantor; Ma. Concepcion “Menchie” Silvestre-Enguerra, Executive Director of the Alagang Kapatid Foundation; Mr. Mark Anthony N. Javier, former Globe Telecom President; University of the Philippines Professor of Epidemiology Dr. Carlo Irwin A. Panelo; Chairman and President of the Center for Developmental Intervention Foundation, Inc. Ms. Nieves “Bing” L. Osorio; and Atty. Dennis S. Santiago, former Executive Director of the Government Procurement Policy Board - Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) in the Philippines.
An oath taking ceremony of the members of the MSGC was also done during the meeting.
